What size of socket do I need?

    Hey everyone.
    I was trying to get the handles off on the drivers and passenger side. I had used a star screwdriver to get it out and it was starting to strip. I had to get them previous taken off to get my roof fixed. I didn't want to strip the bolt anymore so I was wondering what size of socket do I need?

    Any help would be great,

    Get a metric socket set, and put a socket on it until you find one that gives a good purchase.

    FYI all the nuts and bolts are metric, ranging from 5.5mm (blower motor bolts) to 26mm (alignment cam nut). Most of the more common sizes you'll use are 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm

    Don't get me wrong, I get everyone has to start somewhere, BUT given OP's obvious skill level I think he should start on something else. I have found trying to teach friends of similar skill levels that when they attempt to take on tasks like this on their own it ends up costing them more when they end up having to take it to a mechanic to fix what they've done.

    How do you know his "Skill level"? He simply doesn't have a socket set of his own. Instead of posting as you did, perhaps suggest he get with a local member if you think he would need assistance. If was posting on how to remove the bolt using a fork, then yeah, a dealer trip would be the best option. But given that he clearly wants to work on his own vehicle, that's an activity that should be welcomed.
