What size rear spacers for +3.5" front?

I've seen a few people with +3.5 on the front only use 2" on the rear. Is there a reason why I shouldn't have super thick spacers on the rear?

 

Go with high offset wheels that have a super low negative backspacing. SCS F5s are a good option to have the wheels stick out without using spacers. Otherwise don't use anything wider than a 1.25" spacer. Coming from a guy with +4 LT.

 

Are you using different wheels on the rear vs front?

 

Nah, same all around. I'm actually selling them as I just got beadlocks, and a new 6" I think wider rear end.

 

I have +4.5" LT and run the same 0 offset wheel all 4 corners. No spacers in the front, 2" spacer in the rear.

 

+3.5lt right now. No spacers in the rear, but hopefully putting in a 69" wide rear end soon so itll look a little better.

 

2" is common for 2nd gens

 

I have a 2nd gen Tacoma with Camburg 3.5" LT. I went from 1.50" rear adapters to 2" and now back to 1.25".

 

Why the change back to 1.25"?

 

It started to look a little too aggressive for me. Maybe I'm getting too old .

 

It will depend on what look and performance you want. Often, pre-running folks like the rear to be a tad narrower. Many folks set up the rear to be the same front and rear for mix use. I have a +2 kit with high-offset wheels, and my rear is super narrow to the front ( for me at least ). I have a 69" Tundra rear end on order and plan to go with lower offset wheels.

I sent high-offset wheels before the LT kit, avoiding spacers for my rear kit and front bypass setup.

A Wider axle is the best way to go about it but at a higher cost. I bent my rear axle, so the time to do it came up. Replace or upgrade.
