I did use the search and this was the thread that fit my needs. Thanks for not being "that guy". Seems that the original poster has the same question regarding max tire size that he can apply without hacking, trimming or cutting. My apologies for not just following.

I know there’s a lot of conflicting info out there but also a lot of proof. I will give you my personal experience if it helps. With a stock suspension sr5, I have 16x8 +0 wheels (sticks out about 1.5 inches more than stock) and I still have zero rub anywhere with a 265/75 Falken Wildpeak.

I have an all stock '19 SR5 and am running 265/75/16 Cooper AT3 tires and have no problems with rubbing at all.

Stock 245/75/16s and 265/70/16s are almost identical in diameter but about 0.7" wider. I put them on my 2020 with no issues. And the speedo stays accurate :)

265/75/16 Ridge grapplers on stock suspension. No rubbing what so ever.

I have a 19 Tacoma SR5 with 245/75/16 on factory rims and stock suspension.
Planning to change to 265/70/16 when the time comes with no plans for changes to rims or suspension.
Similar tire height but slightly wider tire.
