Hey OP check out my truck. I'm running the same lift you are talking about with 285/70/17s. The exact same reason you are getting it is why I did. Didn't want to sink thousands into it just yet. I'm going to end up taking it off and doing better suspension all around slowly, but I needed tires and wanted to go ahead and get the size tire I wanted so this lift satisfied it. You can see my "build" in my sig below.

Thanks man! Exactly! I don't want to sink thousands into a lift but I love the look of a lifted and leveled truck. Good looking truck by the way! Question though...what happened to your fender flares?

I took them off. I took all the fender flares off. I don't like the look of flares at all. You will have slight rubbing on the inner fender with my setup so you can cut a small portion of the inner fender plastic out or do like me and just remove them.

Bilstein 5100's which are adjustable to .85, 1.75 and 2.5 inches of lift and a progressive add a leaf to lift the rear from headstrong, icon, or wheelers.
I would run 265/75-16 if I were you. Just my opinion based on what you are wanting to do with your truck.

Dang man, I love the look of fender flares! I couldn't do it to a new truck haha. The holes in the fenders would drive me crazy. lol.

You plasma or use a grinder to remove the metal by the cab mount then weld in new metal that is more recessed to help clearance for the tires. Not a big deal just not sure if you want to do that to a leased vehicle.

Haha I know I'm a unique individual that can't stand fender flares. Just think it makes the body look too bulky. The holes really don't bother me at all, I'm probably going to end up cutting out my fenders to eliminate the holes one day anyways. I'm a supporter for cutting and creating more room for tires rather than I am make the truck taller. Just my two cents.

Nope just stick with the same size ~33s. Not enough wheeling for me in Alabama to need anything larger, but with awesome suspension and some cutting the truck will be able to flex basically freely. I had an old 1989 Toyota Pickup I cut 6" out of each fender and ran a small suspension lift (I think just 3") and it was able to do basically everything I ever encountered or was willing to try haha.

Negative. IFS. I do have an 85 4Runner right now that is solid axle though.

I doubt you'll ever need to cut that much out with IFS. Maybe with a 3" LT setup.

Good choice on the T4R. I have any 85 pickup that's getting linked :D

Yeah one day when my Tacoma becomes a full time toy and part time DD I plan to do a LT setup. That could be years down the road though. For now I'm gonna do more of a MT build.

I love my 4Runner but it's for sell as it just doesn't get any attention whatsoever.

Yeah, probably not! haha I don't plan on keeping this one when the lease is up so I don't want them to have a reason to make me purchase it back from them.
