What size tires can i go up to without a lift on a 2015 OR

    My stock tire is 265/70/16 and would like to upgrade to larger tires while still keeping factory rims- what are my best options its a stock 2015 double cab 4x4 OR

    265/75/16 seems to be pretty popular as a larger size for stock suspension.

    I mean, you could cut the fenders, ditch the fender liner, put on 3" of wheel spacers and fit a 35" no problem. Nothing is outside the realm of possibility.

    I have read that 255/85-16s can be fit with stock rims by simply removing the mud flaps and beating on the pinch weld. A cab mount chop might be required too but that is also simple and cheap if you, or someone you know, welds. That meets my definition "stock." Your mileage may very, etc, etc.

    I run that tire size with 2.5" lift and rub the UCAs at full turn and the back of the wheel well when stuffed and turned. I have flaps, but they're very thin aftermarket flaps - without flaps, I'd hit the wheel well.

    Edit: There's no way I'd try to fit those on stock suspension.

    all 255's are not created equal either.. toyo mt's are 33.5, cooper st are 33.2 with the narrowest tread of the bunch, cooper st maxx are 32.8, the new dick cepeks are 32.8, the bf i dunno.... so all that to say it depends on a couple things if they might work for somebody that won't be wheeling and truly fully stuffing tires..

    I'm running Toyo m55s. They have a very narrow tread, much narrower than the width of the tire itself.

    i forgot about those! dunno what the actual specs are on them, as in are they as tall as the mt's? either way the idea was just to point out that not all tires with the same size label are the same size and the smaller of the bunch may be ok.

    I know they're a hair over 33, that's all. Oh, and that they ride smooth as silk on road while performing fantastic in shit conditions. They also squish really nice when aired down.
