What size tires for new wheels

    I purchased some 17x7.5 wheels today and I'm still a bit confused about tire sizes. My truck is lowered 2in in the front and 3in in the rear. So I would like tires that will be low profile enough to clear with out rubbing, have enough tread that they won't be rubber band tires, and that will still be able to have a long life. I understand that low pro tires will wear out faster but what's the best option?

    Well i did that already I was just wondering what other lowered guys thought about 235/40/17 on the rims I picked up and if there is any rubbing issues or anything like that too

    rubbing will be mainly due to offset or width of rim.

    Alrighty well I think I'm good on offset and width nothing too crazy.

    So to keep my speedo close to the factory speed reading and to have a lower profile tire without it being a super ruff ride and no rubber band tire I'm thinking a 225/45/17
