Def true here...unless like others have stated that they can put it down as a "premium part," then you might get a few more bucks for them. Sad part is though, I think many dealers upsell the shit out of your modified truck the second they get it. Atleast from a few dealerships that I have seen where a truck had some 4-6 inch rough country DB lift on it, they jacked the price of the truck about 12k more than the KBB of it was. I think they like to play the dumb game in that your mods arnt worth anything, when they will sell it for close to double the trade in value.

Business is business, that's for sure.

Op's question was not specific...Custom deavers which I believe you are looking to understand would be specific. The way you achieve lift in the rear is pretty simple but ride quality has to do with how you intend to use your truck. Why do you want deavers? How much weight do you carry? do you haul? are you building an expo? They are one of the most expensive packs out there. Why don't you put in an AAL and Air bags? See my old FS thread and @MrZoggs post. The bottom line is if you really wanted to know you'd pick up the phone call a deaver rep such as Matt from MCM fab and give him your wants and needs (for lack of a better description) and he should be able to sort you out. Don't be all butt hurt because this forum even when I came on before 3rd gen threads wasn't all peaches and cream.

Honestly, whether he gets in the right direction from the forum or through a vendor...at some point he would need to discuss with a vendor. When I joined up, there was plenty of knowledge already on google that would direct me to TW in regards to suspension so I knew how to seek my knowledge. At some point though when I had the money and was ready, I still had to talk to a vendor to get rates on what I wanted. On that note though, it was nice to hear a "shop's" perspective on suspension when they also install these more than the average TWer might. I don't think by Bski pointing the OP to headstrong was a bad idea as sooner or later they will end up there anyway.

Lastly, when it comes to forums such as this, many learn from their first thread or so how the game generally works...using the search blah, blah, blah. I came from TTORA, so I knew the game coming in to TW.

Dont forget about the front diff needle bearing, you most likely wont know this needs to be done til after you install the lift. Look it up on here lots of owners find this out after lift install.

Literally took my thoughts just there. I was going to say. We spend our money with the vendor so wouldn't you want to seek out a good vendor or someone that is highly recommended.. I mean shit we are spending thousands of dollars on upgrading a truck that value will remain regardless of what we put in it... point is all this "stuff" is a want not a need... And personally if I am spending a ton of money on a new suspension I want to talk to the shop I am buying from

Haha BRO you know we think alike. With that being said, my process for parts start from what is the best item to select for achieving my goals with my truck. Next, see the competition of parts in this avenue and get the "real world" prices for these to become a reality (vendor). Based off cost, do I proceed or realign my interests to something that seems to be more economical to what I was expecting? I think many have a mental operation similar to this. There are some of us who shit gold, which to them they can just buy anything from anyone without regard of price.

With that being said, I tend to talk to a vendor sooner rather than later to get a scope of how much coin I will need. TW serves me well in the history of reliability in these design decisions and whether I need to supplicant additional pieces to make this new "system" of parts as solid of a replacement to the original OEM parts that are getting swapped out. To me, any communication whether it be sources/vendors/experiences can only benefit the OP.

I approve this message. What happened to the Mega Bro thread... That shit really went down hill. I've been relegated to smart ass remarks such as my first post in here to have any fun. I have been having a bitch of a time trying to crank up my kings btw. I actually brought it to a shop because I thought I was a bitch and even they recommend taking them off and putting them in a spring compressor to move the collar down.

I know man I think the best way to get the bro thread kick started is just throwing some confrontational BS at Havvokk and let him broversate it out. As far as your kings, how many miles do they have on them? Might be worth it to spray some lubricant on them like PB blast to help break things up. Especially in your region up there, I can only imagine the shit those coils might of seen already. Lastly, let them fully droop and then see if you can break the collar a little loose. How much are you looking to crank them?

Drooped I got 10 full turns out of them but that's about as far as I have got them up (about 11 threads showing). They are actually in really good shape still I think its a bunch of the preload on the 14inch coils. Meh I am going to get havvokk involved some more over there and as him if hes cleaned his truck yet.

Ah sounds like you gave it a good shot man, I think you are making the next best move by seeing what a shop can do. I have no bearing of what each turn equates to height...are you shooting for 3 inches? In regards to havvokk, he is exceptional in being of the few guys who you can harass and get positive commentary all day long...DO IT!

Lol I hit him up already. I've actually been keeping up with the shocks and washing them every chance i get after the weather so they don't oxidize and seize up like the bilsteins did. But the King threads are much much larger and I think I would really have to disregard them for a few months to cause any real damage that wouldn't allow to adjust.

Nice man, that dude says some quality crazy shit...hell my sig says it right there. I would think with 11 turns that the coilover is probably getting pretty compressed though right? How does the ride height of the front sit with them cranked to what you could get them to currently? I think my rear has 2.5 inches so it is pretty balanced, but once I go LT its probably going to be about 3 inches in the front.

Anyway, OP I would def check out some vendors this week and get an idea for what you might want to do in regards to price!

I got a little rake going which I am liking ALOT but my CV's are still at a really good angle so I am satisfied. If push comes to shove and I really want that extra 1/4inch I will yank them out and bring them up to my buddies shop and have it done

Lol, I'm prolly not the best person to ask as I am likely going to evolve my truck into a long travel build... showing what I didn't know prior to spending a but load of money.

As for additional things to consider to make systems bullet proof? Needle bearing, regear, diff. Drop, center bearing drop, axle shims, limit straps, ext. brake lines, upgraded cv boots.. all things I have done.

My biggest regret is not getting longer shocks, control arms, and cv axles in the first place..

Sounds like your biggest regret wasn't going LT out of the start? Def not the cheapest route for sure! I assume TC 2+?
