I forgot to mention seating position. Taller people may never feel fully comfortable.

These are my three must-check things:
    1. Interior room and seat comfort. There are plenty of posts about the driver seat being uncomfortable for some, myself included. This may be difficult to do in a test drive, but try to assess if you can sit comfortably for long periods of time. It will depend on your body size and type. But the main issues appear to relate to (1) a seat cushion that is too close to the floor, (2) lack of headroom, (3) an odd seat/steering wheel placement, and (4) an overall flat, unsupportive seat.
    2. Automatic transmission shifting. In my experience, the automatic transmission works okay in city and freeway driving, but it sucks in passing and hilly conditions. If you have a chance, go on a two-lane road and drive it between 45 and 60 MPH for 10-15 minutes. I find this to be this transmission’s weakest spot. If you are okay with how the automatic responds and shifts in those conditions, chances are you will fine.
    3. Driveline shudders and vibrations. This is a tough one to spot on a brand-new truck. At first my truck didn’t exhibit many vibrations, or at least didn’t bother me. But at 6,400 miles the shudders and vibrations are getting increasingly noticeable, to the point that they are becoming hard to ignore. Pay special attention during hard acceleration and deceleration situations.
    Good luck!

I always recommended extended or overnight test drives to see if you like it, allows you to drive roads you would normally drive. If the Dealership thinks you are a serious buyer they will comply.
