Love my access cab off road, the proportions on double can short beds don't jive with me and I don't want a trail limo. Perfect medium and I don't haul more than one person, nor do I wish to. I've got a ton of bed space for yard work and hauling too.

Thanks, I really enjoy it. Sometimes I wish I had the extra room for people but when it boils down to it I don't really need it. If a third person wants to go somewhere they can take their own vehicle and when I wheel I'm usually with a group with Jeeps who can hold the passengers lol.

I himed and hawed over it for awhile, my 2nd Gen was a DCLB and I loved that truck. And I have a fairly large dog and possibly a critter on the way soon I’m sure. I wanted a Access cab real bad but I went for the one that was more practical for me. I swear though, next one is gonna be Access cab MT. There will be a next one, love my 3rd Gen as much as the 2nd.

I like the AC's proportions and the useful bed, I care ZERO for the look of the DCSB. Just doesn't sit right with me.
I got my truck cuz I have passengers and like the space of the LB.

Would this be the reason why MT is only available on the AC and DCSB?
Cause the driveshaft would be interchangeable between the two.
While a separate longer driveshaft would be needed for a DCLB.

I came from a newer Civic coupe, anything has more capacity and space than that. My dog is only 50 some odd pounds and most of that weight is fur so she fits anywhere comfortably. Love my 3rd gen but I'd been looking at 2nd gens and 5th gen 4Runners prior to my purchase - the T4R was nice but felt a little huge and as much as I love them I preferred having a bed. I don't foresee any issues with reliability or resale as much as people want to complain.

DCSB. I would've preferred the DCLB but it does not come with a standard tranny.

Access cabs have the best looking portions in my humble opinion.
