Thats pretty crazy, there are 96 Tacomas available at a dealership near me, that is just one of many toyota dealers in the area. He must be dealing with a really low volume dealership.

Did you check nada or kbb? Some values are jumping 1-2k a month on used market. You may not be too far off on that 40k.

I would grab it and buy Dogecoin, wait for the 2022’s:)

    @jaxyaks
Sure they really got 'em? Local dealer here lists 98, but if you go to the lot it's empty - these are 'allocated' and will
arrive over time... go take a look-see and see if there really are 96...

    I picked up a SR5 V6 4WD Access Cab listed at $33,400...
Today the SR 4X2's are going for that.
    The SR5 V6 4WD's are going for $37,000+ ... insane...

At this rate my Tacoma is doing better than my RETIREMENT ACCOUNT ...

$40k cash? In writing? You'd be a fool not to give it to them and take the bus home.

Spend the money on a clean 4-5 yo econobox. Next year everyone will be wanting those as available fuel cost double.

Or $40k on a trade to something more expensive?

    These are not equivelant things..

Their TRD Offroads are listed at 38,400

    TRD Sport 4x4 $38,579

    SR5 4x4 34K

    These were all double cabs

    Cobb County Toyota Kennesaw GA

Not sure if they are all on the lot or not, but they have a vin number so you can put your name on it.

I work at a dealer. I can confirm, we really are paying that price. We are so desperate for more inventory of tacoma's we will pay those prices.

Your dealer is selling 4 year old 100k+mile tarted up Tacomas for $2000 more than a new 2021? Ok, sure thing.

Might be getting too old for this.
Must be an alternate dimension. Here in the Florida panhandle are over 100 brand new Tacomas at MSRP within an hour of each other. Mind you, only 50 or so are OR/Sport trim but still.

I believe the prices honestly, I tried vroom just the other day to see how the market is and they would offer $33204 for my 55k+ mileage 18' SR5. It may seem like a good deal, but it is reflective of how bad the market is. Its estimated to take up to 2yrs before the market catches up due to the chip shortage. Even if you get a good payout for your truck you're still gonna pay a lot for a new or used vehicle, its a wash really.

OP.. what dealer was it. I’m local and I have a 19 premium off road with 40k miles.. and I’d take a few things off and give it to em tomorrow for that money
