I have the same sound. Dealer was useless. only speed bumps that are the faster kind, only once. I have about 7000 miles left on the warranty. I will try to get it fixed but I doubt they will. squeaky leafs too that only happen on an inclined driveway, dealer was useless.

Dude, not sure if you are serious or not.

I know what a suspension bottoming out feels and sounds like. Not my first truck. Its only on drivers side and its 100% not what you mentioned. When im cruising on the FSRs it happens on minor bumps or dips, far from suspension bottoming out.

Thanks for input. I will mention that to my dealer. Which dealer did you use?

West coast Toyota, in Canada. I'll try and dig out the paper work from when it was finally fixed.

OP just out of curiosity, does it do it more when in Neutral or clutch in? Mine is in the dealer for a similar sound, they're trying to blame it on my hitch pin rattling in the receiver...not sure how the hitch pin knows to only make noise when I'm in neutral though haha.

Didn’t even see your location was BC.

Hope they don’t give you the runaround. I fought it for about 30k and they kept telling me it was coming from the rear

I can bounce the truck like crazy when not moving and nothing happens. Also, no LED bars or anytging like that. My truck did that since it was brand new.

I tried brake on/off. Neutral and in gear, it still does it. I even took out my reciever to make sure and still did it.

Its coming from left front drivers side.

The rattling you have in neutral when going over bumps is normal. Its quite loud and mone of my vehicles did that.

I wouldnt say I wheel it hard but this is my first 4x4 and while learning I definitely bottomed out the suspension (and dented the skid plate) once or twice. It's fairly common on tacos tundras 4runners and FJs that wheel. You can look up a ton of threads on this site look up core support cracks or radiator support cracks. It's hard to see without peeling back the fender liner and as far as I can tell I'm the only one getting a clunk from it so I assume some people have it and don't know.

Mine has done that from early on...I don't let it bother me. Cheap body mount bushings probably failed as soon as they were installed.

Nope but I know to stay away now!

West coast has been good to me. Aside from dragging things out. They've always come through.

My manual tranny clunks even over small "bumps" (cracks) with the tranny is NEUTRAL ONLY. I have a small crack in my driveway and when I coast-in in neutral, it clunks over the crack EVERY SINGLE TIME.
When it's in gear, no clunk at all whatsoever.

It's totally normal, non-issue. I'm a type-a freak and it no longer bothers me. My best friend has worked for Toyota for 27 years and he assures me it's "normal," not a problem or warranty issue.

    HTH!!!!! (;-)

Sounds like the end links on the sway bar being ball and socket all it takes is a CH of play to make that cracking noise.
