My truck had a “Locktronics” ignition cutoff module installed on it when it was new at the dealer in 1997. We had it removed in 2009 because it was leaving us stranded when it stopped completing the ignition circuit. It was like a very primitive chipped key.

Agree with Snowater. Would definitely get confirmation from the dealer.

Actually I would see if the dealer would put you in touch with the previous owner and see if he'll tell you what it is.

Buy here pay here lot or sketchy dealership? It's the repo GPS tracker. I've installed many of them but it's been a while, the looked a little different.

So, I believe this is a similar module that I have from a remote start from 12V Solutions. Its an add on smart phone module that allows you to start the car from anywhere, given you have a signal. That being said, its prob so GPS driven device that links with the App that you download when you purchase it. Mine has a green and a red light. TBH the signal under the dash was sketch, so I mounted it topside.

Dang! Someone needs to definitely find out what it is! I am seeing GPS repo tracker device and remote start device. The original poster needs to take it off the vehicle and get a better look to see what it is. This is very interesting...

Do you have an aftermarket head unit? Could be the GPS module for that
