    that blocking thing is what they are putting in frames now. It came on mine when I got my frame replaced. Behind it is nothing. I ripped mine out and threw it away when I was re-welding my sliders back on.

    That might be a new frame too.

    100% not on my 17. just checked so I guess its added only after having them cover rust issues under warranty. I would love to see closer pics tho because that does not look like a zerk grease fitting to me. Id love to know how they fill it up and how that weird plug/thing works.

    It is part of the frame rust TSB. I took my truck in for that and got non hardening goopy grease into the front of the frame where it’s already pseudo boxed. They squirt the frame full of that, then put the flimsy little plastic cap to pretend like they are boxing in that part of the frame. It’s fully useless. Truly.
