Has this happened to anyone else? The rubber strip on the roof of my 2011 DC TRD Sport flew off! And in the process, it damaged my sat. radio antenna??? Now my radio is flashing "ANTENNA".
    Suggestions?

When I run it through the auto car wash before I bring it home to finish it up the driverside ends up comming loose but I have not lost it on the road yet.

It is a common problem. There is a TSB for it if I remember right. Take it too the dealer since it is a 2011 and tell them what happened. If the sat antenna is stock then they should replace that too. If not you better be nice because it will be a hard sell to get them to replace it.

My sat radio came stock. I just got off the phone with the dealership and they said the warranty should cover everything. I guess I was just a little ticked off that something could come off the truck that easily. Is there anyway to fix this other than buying a luggage rack and having it installed!?

I've heard of a few cases of it.

    Happened to me too.

A bunch of people that have installed a rack have to take the weather strips off and just laying around. I inquired on here and someone local actually gave it to me for free. Other people are willing to give it away for free too, just ask.

I reinstalled it with some industrial strength double sided tape and so far it's been holding on just fine.

I've had both sides fly off (at different times). The dealer replaced them with no issue. They told me when they come from the factory sometimes they aren't hooked on correctly?? I dont know, but since I've had both sides replaced, I haven't had anymore problems with them.

Both came off my '09. Took three tries for the dealer to get it fixed.

Toyota's are bad for this. it's not just the taco. Take it back to the dealer as stated above, and they should take care of you.

^^^ Little off-topic, but MAN, your SWB looks AMAZING in that pic! I'm assuming that pic was taken after a few hours detailing on a beautiful day, but WOW, look at the pearl popping! Nice pic! :)
