The problem that I had with my purchasing dealership was that I’d never get the same service writer but they all had the same script, never would listen to what I had to say about any service request or issue. Finally found a dealer that is an hour’s drive away but has a small town feel about it and they were happy to get my service business. Been a customer for the past two years and never an issue with lug nuts or oil changes. Although I do check these things before driving home after a service. Happy to mention Funk’s Toyota in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Without photos it’s hard to make an assumption but it sounds like they patched a tire due to puncture. That explains the chalk mark on the valve stem. A valve stem cap won’t cause you to lose air. Sounds like they lost the original valve caps and picked one up off the floor that that had laying around which was probably smashed. Not going back to that dealer for service is like saying you won’t go back to McDonald’s because they forgot your ketchup and napkins. Be aware that oil changes are not performed by veteran techs. I can’t imagine any 20+ year master tech would want to do an oil changes that pays them .3 or less flat rate.

I don’t know if a reputable garage anywhere near me or would certainly go there.
Maybe I’ll ask the dealer if he knows of one

True, a lot tire shops over torque the crap out of the lug nuts. Going around with a torque wrench after almost stripping them from over torque is a joke. I always re-torque them at home. I usually find at least 3 that I have to kick with a breaker bar to remove.

You mean the one on the right was on the left and the one in the middle was on the right, the one the left was in the middle and the guy in the rear was a Methodist?

The metal caps have been know to seize on to the valve stem. That's most likely the issue and the cause of your problems.

This 2-year free service is highly sketchy. Took mine in and the dealer said your cabin air filter is dirty and we need $69.99 to replace it. I asked if it was covered by the free service and was told “no”. Was told they also recommend the engine air filter for $49.99. Sounds like it’s just a ruse to get them more $$. I also dropped my spare tire after the service to fluid film my truck and found the spare at around 22 psi. Really? Maintenance report says it was fine. Totally sketch

The paperwork supplied about the inspection is a document that does most shops in, most just check the box so they did what is expected. Next time see if they checked the transmission box or entered n/a.

valve caps are plastic or soft metal. It would break before any real damage was done. There’s no way they smashed the valve stem or else your tire would be flat right now.

My dealer once left my lug nuts hand tight. Didn’t notice until I picked up a nail a week after I took a 8 hour road trip. I rather pull out the breaker bar than call a tow truck because my wheel is missing…

A ruse to get them more money, LOL, I'll remember that next time McDonald's ask if I want to add a soda and fries to the burger I ordered. Damn businesses and their capitalist principals trying to increase profits.
If your spare was flipped so the value stem was pointed down they should have aired it up but if the valve stem was pointed up your out of luck.

They must have removed the tire for some reason, probably to fix a puncture. That's the only reason for a chalk arrow pointing at the stem

Those metal caps are notorious for getting seized from corrosion. They probably had to wrench them off with pliers and the 2 missing ones were too mangled to put back on. But they should have put a couple plastic ones on there before it went out the door
