has anyone done 35% in the front and left the back windows stock? If so, how did it turn out? That's the route I wanted to take but wanted to get some feedback from you all. I also see a few people going with 5% in the back and 35% in the front. If you don't mind posting your %'s and a pic for us to see...I'm sure a lot of us would greatly appreciate it!

What look are you going for? That will take any guessing out of your decision. 20% on the fronts will be virtually an exact match to the stock rear.

35% fronts on stock rear would look decent, but will leave the fronts visibly lighter than the rear. 35% fronts on 5% rear would just look silly IMO, I don't know why anyone would do that.

Also, I notice you're in western Washington as I am; I've run 5% before, and it's so hard to see out of with our grey skies, especially on rainy nights.

I went with the suggestion of my window tint guy: 15/35. Very good match from outside. From inside, rear is darker. I'm ok with this, keeps the sun off my kid when he is riding in the back. Sorry, don't have any pics.

Removed front spoiler, Toyota All Weather Mats, Toyota sill protectors, Towing package with Curt tow bar & hitch, tinted front driver & passenger windows @28% Llumar Film, removed pinstripes, added 4x4 TRD Off Road decals, Toyota OEM mud flaps, BFG KO2 265/75/16 tires, ...more to come.
I went with 28% on the front (driver & passenger) windows. For my truck, it was almost a perfect match (see photo). It looks a little lighter in the photo because light from the windshield is greater than from the back glass. So mine is 28(front)/stock(rear). My tint guy used a machine to measure the stock tint and then, knowing I wanted a match, chose the 28% film. I think it's pretty close. The photo here has everything going for it wrong to see that...darker shadows on rear glass, light through the windshield-so greater light looking through front two windows, etc., but it is a very close match. ~Llumar Brand Tint Film~ Good luck!

I did 27% on the front and it matches perfect. Keep in mind every brand is a little different also.

I went with 25% in the front and its still a shade lighter than the rear. They used a 3M colorstable if i remember it correctly.

In my lovely state of Illinois they are nazi's when it comes to illegal tint. Having received a ticket for tint on my last Taco I chose to go 35% on the front and I left the back stock. It is what is legal in Illinois. I wanted 20% up front but this is what I am allowed to do.

They are the same in my area. So what I did with my accord was a 5% in the rear and 25 up front, hoping that the big variation will sort of think that there's minimal to almost no tint at all. I was good for about 2 years, and I crossed check points a lot. Now Im plannig to add a 25% to the rear to make it look darker and 25% in front.

I live downstate in Lawrenceville. Police are more concerned with other matters than stopping people with dark tint. I have 20% on my fronts. You see it everywhere down here.

Suntek ceramic 25% back and rear, 18% front.
From the outside, the front is a just a shade lighter.
    From the inside, everything matches.

thanks for everyone's feedback! I think I'm gonna try to match the the rear stock windows. It looks like 25-28% might be the magic number

I used black spray paint too. Seeing through your windows is overrated. Just drive by feel. What could go wrong? :D

I went with plasti dip, that way it would be easier to remove once I changed my mind, plus I have a fear of commitment.

Additionally, who else have you seen with textured looking windows?
