Mine's going in Wednesday for tint. Going 5% all around and I'm adding a sun visor strip. Can't wait to stop feeling like I'm driving a fishbowl around. Never had a vehicle that wasn't tinted and this just feels weird without it.

Ya here in BC you can only tint windows "behind the driver" and the top 3 inches of other windows. Although apparently you can buy glass that is pre-tinted and that's fine for some reason but you can't put a film on or alter existing windows.

35% on front doors to keep it legal for MS and 35% on back doors over the already tinted factory windows. Left the sliding glass alone so I wouldn't have issues seeing at night. All black interior makes a big difference on how dark they look. I want a light tint over the front glass to cut back on some night blindness.

3M, 32% on front which is my state law and 20% on rear, sun setting behind the truck shining right through, otherwise it would look much darker.

Here`s better pic without the sun shining directly through

    Tint and mudguards.jpg

For those that do not know this, the rear windows are NOT tinted when it comes from the factory, it appears to be tint but it`s only smoked glass, it does nothing to keep UV rays out.

So I went 5% all around, which is actually 20% add to the factory tint in the rear and a full 5% film up front. Also did a sun strip.

Only issue going 5% in front is turning corners at night where there's no street lights. It gets pretty dark. Love it though, looks the best and provides awesome amount of privacy in the cab.

That's not legal in Illinois, to be legal it would be 50% upfront.

You guys tinting the whole windshield have issues with it fogging up during rainy days when you run the wipers? I used to have tinted windshield and the sun protection was great but extremely annoying when it fogged up during rain or during early morning hours

I want to say my tint guy did 18% on the front to match the back and it looks really close. The factory tint does have a very slight green in the tint but there is no aftermarket tint to match it 100%. Mine looks great!

I have 5% in the back too.

From what I've seen, the factory rear windows are roughly 26% so .05 x .26 = .013 so thats 1.3% on the back.

    Hooray for 5% tint!

I had mine done today. We have a guy that comes to my work and for $150 tinted all 5 windows. I had limo put on back 3 and told him legal on the front side windows. When I pulled it out of the shop I realized how dark they were. I love dark windows but it's just a roll of the dice if the police pop me for it.

I think mine was right about 23% and it looks like an almost perfect match to the back. I feel if you go much darker its hard to see at night. But i live in montana we don't have a lot of ambient light that you get from the city.
