Remember that windshields have a laminated plastic layer inside which the side and rear windows do not.
Also be sure to differentiate between UV-A and UV-B

    Worth a read: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-uv-windows-idUSKCN0Y32WI

I believe there was a study in the past few years that looked at skin cancer occurrence rates on left vs right arms looking at patients in the US and in Australia (right-hand drive). There apparently was a pretty good correlation of arm vs. side of the vehicle; higher rates on the right arms vs left in Australia, higher rates on the left arms vs right in the US.

18% Driver/Passenger (I swear Mr. Officer/Inspector, it came like this from the dealer.)
5% Backs/Rear/Sunroof (Not sure what it is when you add in factory privacy. Don't care, it's dark as fawk.)

Llumar AIR90 Nano-Ceramic (About 90%) Front Windshield (Will never have a vehicle without this again.)

It's darker than legal, I'm thankful to have a backup camera at night, and that's the way I like it. I really need to get some real wheels/tires. Been a fan of Llumar films for a long time. Tint is not an option in Texas unless you like skin cancer on your drivers side.

I did 20% on the front, 75% on the rears which made it almost indistinguishable front to rear.

I have a 2017 blue double cab Tacoma (with 3 piece rear slider) which has the factory ~26% smoked glass in the rear windows and factory ~35-45% tint on the front two windows.

I was considering removing the stock front windows tint and then adding 15 or 20 % tint on the front two windows, the rear two windows, and the rear glass (including over the smoked glass) or doing 15 or 20 in the front and 30 or so in the back. I definitely want it to be darker but I'd also like for all 5 windows to match as best as possible from the outside and from the inside.

What would everyone recommend for that? Thanks!

This is what I did. Also, blocks 99% UV and 55% heat. Realize it's illegal and some installers won't give you a receipt. But it looks great and at least around here getting a ticket for illegal tint is very rare. And to be honest the newer technology compared to my illegal tint on my old 98 RAM is way better. I can actually see out the window and see reverse lights in the mirror while my RAM I could not.

I have 32 and ~7%. I did this because it's what is legal in my state. And I wanted the maximum inferior fade protection and heat reduction without getting tickets like in my old car. It is definitely noticable but it doesn't look bad in my opinion.

I am wanting to do 20-25% on my front windows to match the oe privacy glass. What brand/model line of tint have people used that matches up best? It seems like each brand of tint throws off a different color hue. Thanks!

My installer uses Solar FX and he put a lifetime warranty on it. There are also Aluminum and Ceramic tints. Of course way more expensive going with those. I decided to use regular film since there is no telling what the rest of the truck uses and Id bet not the high-end stuff so I didn't see the point in AL or Ceramic.

I usually do 35% all the way around except windshield. The main purpose is to protect from UV. UV kills the interior plastic and fabric.

The Peoples Republic of Virginia says nothing less than 50%

Thanks! I am looking for "basic" film as well. How does the solar fx match up color wise (not % wise) if you look the truck straight on from the side?

As stated a few posts above I went 20% and it matches the rest of the truck perfectly. I think the color hue you mentioned earlier is actually the AL in the tint. I can definitely tell a difference in regular and AL when I was looking.
