I've got an ext cab and just completely redid the whole audio system with head unit subs and all that good stuff and I don't want it to be easily visible by thieves

I have 20% on the front two windows and I'm thinking of putting 5% on the rear sides and back glass

And maybe putting something on the windshield but I'm worried about tickets

You think that'll do the job ?

Def check your state laws. Mine is pretty dark, esp at night. People think I'm a cop at night lol. But the police down here dont give a crap about the tint. I was thinking of going darker actually. Don't need anyone peeking in my truck

I personally have 5% on front windows and 5% over the stock 20% rear windows on my truck and love it. It is a little dark with 5% over the factory tint but its manageable and no one would be able to see in. I also have 50% on the windshield now but have had 35% on twice but made it a year both times before I was pulled over for the windshield and front windows.

Depending on where you live you can get away with darker tint (no, I'm not advocating breaking the law) but I would personally go with 30% all around.

Cool man! I love 5% but I had to buy some of those little pods too. I mounted them to the side of the hitch and wired to a SPDT switch to come on automatically when reversing.

I ran 5% on all my windows with a 5% strip across the top of the windshield for about 6 months. You literally cannot see inside the truck from the outside if it is dark or if you put a sun-visor up in the windshield when parked. I loved the look of the truck with 5% all around, but I later switched to 20% on the door glasses and left the 5% on the rears and the strip on the windshield. I love the way it is set up now because it still looks good, I can see out of the truck in the dark and it is still fairly hard to see inside in the dark or with a visor up. I personally don't think I'll ever run anything besides 20% on the front door glasses and 5% on the rears and 5% windshield strip.
