To appease everyone, the thread could be titled "What tint percentage(s) are you running on your (White) tacomas?"

You don’t tint your windows with tints. Your windows are tinted with tint. If you use different percentages of tint on your window(S) you would say my window(S) are tinted with different percentages of tint. Saying window(S) makes the assertion plural without saying tint(S)

You are using the word tint talking about a specific item. You are saying something like my windows are made of glass. That is then a statement about all the windows and the singular form is fine. When the item is multiple, it should be plural. You tint things. You have multiple tints.
If your windows are tinted with different tints, then yes, it should be tints. It is plural.
If things are plural you use the plural form. It isn't something assumed.
You don't say I have three dog because someone should assume it is plural. You say you have three dogs. You do that because it is plural. You wouldn't say I have three tint. You would say I have three tints.

Didn't read all the responses and this might sound stupid but there's something about a white truck with dark tinted rears that make the front look tinted when they're not. Everyone thinks mine are tinted but they aren't. Keep that in mind when selecting tint %, the fronts might look darker than normal will less tint.

Anyway...this post was for someone trying to decide what to do with their windows, so maybe we should just let him do that instead of taking over the post with a grammar discussion.

You’re looking for different shades of tint. Not different tints. Just saying. Your straw man arguement with different words has nothing to do with the grammatical error in the title.

Any shade of tint is naturally going to look darker on white. My F250 had 20% on the windshield and 5% on everything else.

Black it out. 5% all around. If it's a new truck your safety is good for 2 years. Worry about it in 2 years!

I was going tomorrow for the top strip on windshield and both front windows done for a $100. I was thinking lighter than the backs because 1. It's illegal in NY and 2. Better night Vision. How hard are tints to remove come resale time?

Tint has never affected resale value in my area. It can be removed, but it will be a pain in the ass. Here, tint normally adds some value, but I don't know how it works in your area. Normally to remove tint, you will have to peel it off, either by scraping or some other way, then remove the adhesive. Tint shops will normally offer this service as well I think, I just don't know what they may charge.

Really just depends how much of a beating the tint takes. If its baking in the sun all day every day for years, it'll be tougher to take off. Also, depends on how long you plan on having the truck before resale. I have a good relationship with the tint guy I get all my trucks done at, so im sure he'll strip mine for free when it comes time to go get safety check. Try developing a relationship with a local shop and maybe they'll give you a freebie.

I'm going in for tint this weekend and will be doing 5% all around and possibly ceramic clear on the windshield.
