BFGoodrich no debate. Have ran 3 sets and have gotten 80k out of every set if maintained and rotated properly.

I would advise against the Duratracs until they improve the sidewall. I'm now running the KO2's.

They were at 55,000k miles, still a good amount of tread left. Load Range 'D'. I was exiting the highway and this happened. Tire went flat instantly. Never found the offending object. You can see from the pictures the chunk out of the tread, then the good part of the sidewall, then the split. Had the sidewall held together, the tire wouldn't have deflated.

Good year MTR with kevlar. Theres a reason all of the serious wheelers on tw run them. They ride very well and quietly but still go off road just as well if not better than any other tire

I'm glad you didn't get hurt. That could've ended much worse..

I chose to leave the Hankook Dynapro's that came on my truck on my truck. I read good reviews on TireRack.com about them and besides I don't have the money for new tires.

Thanks. I was happy it was a pretty uneventful flat. A big reason I bought the KO2's because of their advertised sidewall strength.

OP, another tire to throw into the mix since you mentioned the Toyo AT2, is the Cooper Discoverer AT3. Running them on my wife's SUV and I've been pretty impressed with their performance, especially on wet roads.

Have had good luck with the Cooper ST Maxx tires. I know they are not on your list but I would at least consider them if your looking for an aggressive and functional AT tire. 10 ply with 3 ply sidewall. I will say they are loud though. Load E only availability.

Also the Discoverer STT Pro's are a newer aggressive tire. Not sure if it is MT or AT though.

Great feedback so far. I'm in PA so most important is wet road and snow. Off road will be mild at best. I do like an aggressive looking tire but living between mountains and the roads to get over them I need to wet/snow traction first.

Duratracs are one of the few AT tires with a severe snow rating!

Lots of guys spend big money on their suspension then buy shit tires. Tires play a huge roll in everything.

I recently put a set of Goodyear Fierce Attitude MTs on my Tacoma. We don't drive it much and I like the look of a MT. No problems yet. They look good other than the barbed wire on the sidewall, which I think is tacky.

I have run most of the common high end A/Ts and M/Ts in my Ram 2500 Power Wagon patrol truck, through some of the worst terrain you can imagine. I have had blowouts with the Duratracs, KM2s, BFG KO A/Ts. I have NEVER even had a flat in the Toyo M/Ts....great tire. I might try the General Grabber M/T next, some of our guys are running them.

Cooper AT3 in a C rated load. The BFG's are tough as hell but super heavy and their winter traction is not nearly as good as the coopers.
