Being that I was the first to mention Hankook ATMs, I can tell you that mine have about 15,000 miles on them, and they still have plenty of tread showing... I will guess they will give me 40,000 miles of service (good for a $140 tire). They are quiet on the highway and I would rate them as good to excellent in mud, snow, sand, desert and dirt driving.

I did get a flat from a sharp rock on my last Baja trip, as I have with the stock BFG Rugged Trails... but I do take some blame as I didn't deflate to 20 psi before running a graded dirt road with lots of volcanic rocks on it, and my wife was diving real fast (having some Tacoma fun) when we got the flat.

As a rule, I go through tires pretty fast... most don't last more than 35,000 miles for me... as I don't like driving on them when the rubber gets too thin.

Other tires that worked well on my Tacoma (on and off road): Toyo Open Country AT, Cooper Discoverer ATR.

Tires that didn't last very long before failing: BFG Rugged Trails (stock Tacoma tires), Definity Dakotas (Pep Boys).

Tires that look great but were noisy as hell on the highway: Cooper Discoverer STT.

I have been running these for almost a year now... first photos when brand new, last February. Followed by snow and mud runs, then deep sand on the beaches in Baja, then dirt road runs, then the Borrego desert.

Ive got ta/ko's in 35''s like others have said they last foreverrrr, haven't had too much problems in mud or sand but with enough throttle any tire will work... my next tires will be trail grappler mts, I like the all terrains they're quiet and get the job but there is definitely better tire choices out the like others have stated

Dynapros ARE Hankook's... Call your local tire dealers... there are two within 3 miles of my home in Oceanside that sell them.

Ok, I have posted several times in favor of the grabbers. The bfg ta/ko suck so much ass your eyes try to go through your throat. The grabber at2s are NOT a desert tire. The red lables are. And you cannot compare the bfg mts to an at. I will tell you right now that the grabbers do great off road, on road, and in snow. The only thing they really dont like is really nasty clay. I cant/wont comment on anything but the grabber at2 and thebfg ta/kos because I have only owned these two. But I like the at2s enough to buy them 3 times and hated the ta/kos enough to set them on the curb with a sign reading FREE with over half tread left. Ask anyone who has wheeled with me at rausch creek how the at2s performed. Not one person will say they sucked. Fuck the ta/ko with a rusty railroad spike with no lube.

I've had my Hankook DynaPro ATM's for about 14,000 miles.... They look brand new still. I got an alignment done last weekend, and the shop asked me if I had just bought the tires. I told them no, I've had them for almost a year and a half!

Point is, they are awesome tires and cost less than most. Mine have a 60,000 mile warranty.

Check again, unless you are seeking the LT ones... P-Rated RF-10 Dynapros's (the 32" x 16" ones) are $140 or less each. The BFG All Terrain TAs of the same size ate $190 each.

I have 15,000 miles on mine and they look great still.

My comment before on the General Grabbers (being a desert tire) is the RED LETTER ones... NOT AT2s... Best to ID the Grabber AT2 as that, and not just call it 'Grabber'... as that is the name of the Red Letter ones.

I hear good things about AT2s, however, their tread is nearly the same as the All Terrain TA in appearance, and they were also $190 each when I was pricing them a year ago... ie. about the same as the All Terrain TAs.

you should look at goodyear wrangler authority. Sounds like a good tire for what you do. Just my 2 cents

Good it wasn't just me ... hard to tell with the "sometimers" and all. ;) :D

I'm leaning real hard to the Grabber AT2s ... think you just convinced me--Thanks! Now I gotta find who carries them up here.

So I'm down to bfg ta kos or the dynapro ATMs where did y'all get yours from? I can't find anybody else other than discount tire co that will ship tires at that price and will also give me a road hazard since I'm getting way bigger tires than Taylor's recomends

I like my Hankook A/Ts but they wore like shit! With rotating every 4k and keeping and eye on pressure, I'm at 28k on these tires and their bald.

My next tire will more than likely be a BFG A/T or Cooper A/T of some sort...
