What tires with 2.5-3in lift/level?

    2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 Dbl Cab
    Just put a 3 inch lift/level on my new 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4.

    Was gonna go with some 285/70r17's or LT305/70r17's; has anyone tried this already?

    Trying to put some meaty tires on without constant rubbing or trimming.

    Sorry if this is a repetitive post but I have seen varying different answers so far.

    285/70/17 should fit without much, if any trimming.
    305s will need trimming.
    My personal experience with my 2nd gen. It also comes down to how much you can stand the rubbing noise and effects, some people don't like a single mark, and others like me don't care if we're ripping off flares :D

    In the planning stage
    I'm looking at doing the same. 3" lift and 285's as long as I don't have to cut or trim anything. If so then I guess I'll drop to 275's.
