Guys I’m sure this is beaten to death but I have a dilemma. I need new tires.

My 2015 off-road is stock. I don’t have the funds to get a proper lift. I see here that people are saying they can fit 265/75/16 on stock.

I have 31s on my Cherokee barely used. I think I could fit at least 32s maybe 33s but then I gotta think regear.

Anyway should I just swap my tires I have on my Cherokee to my Tacoma? Or get some new 265/75/16s?

Going to need more info but I prefer to mount new tires if I'm spending the money on labor.

What's the wheel size on the Jeep? How many miles on the tires? What's the manufacture date of them?

My vote is for some new michelin defenders in the 265/75/16 flavor

265/75/ 16's are a good tire on a stock truck

If you can afford new tires then why not? If you’re broke, then use the Jeep tires. Daily driver is more important than a wheeler. In my opinion.

I’m going to get new tires. Just wondering if I should get them for the Taco or the Jeep. Prevailing opinion here seems to be get new Taco tires

15" wheels won't clear the Taco calipers unless you put about 6" wheel spacers on.

I have 265/75/16s (Falken Wildpeak AT3, about $135 ea on Amazon right now) on my 2015 SR and love them. Just a bit bigger and more aggressive, but have encountered no rubbing. That is about the biggest you can get without a lift or cutting on 16" wheels.

It would cost at least $120 around here to do the tire swap. Maybe as much as $200. I'd buy new tires and 265/76/16 is the size you want. Lots of good options in that size that are reasonably priced.

Wow! About a month ago I had Wildpeaks installed and the cost for dismount, mount & balance on a Hunter (GSP9700) road force balancer was about $75. Guess I'm pretty fortunate living in a rural area... FWIW, I'm loving the Wildpeaks!

There are enough folks around here who are removing the stock tires from their new trucks before they even come off the lot. Thats what I do when I need tires. Around here there are typically 3 or 4 sets of just removed almost brand new tires for sale for about 1/2 the price. I pick them up, put them in the back of my truck and take them to the dealer and have them remove my old worn out tires and install the ones I left them in the box of my truck.

This. It’s Good way to get a new set of tires and wheels for less than a set of new tires. Or atleast in my area..

I’ve always been told Goodyear got there name from only being good for 1 year lol. Anytime I’ve had them this has proven to be true. Also for what’s its worth Kelly is a division of Goodyear, just their economical line.

Very true, I was hesitant when my SR5 came with them as I had a horrible experience with the SRAs on my wifes old liberty. I have been pleasantly surprised they look good are wearing good and have great traction wet, dry, and beach sand. The SRA's felt like they had a layer of raw oil after 10,000 miles.
