ARB, hands down. It’s made to hit a kangaroo (comparable to a deer) and protect the radiator to let you keep driving. A buddy hit a deer with his ARB af 55 mph in a 1st GEN, cracked a headlight and bent the bumper braces. New braces and a headlight he was good to go. They are the only bumper on the market actually tested for hits and offset hits (sides of the bumper in front of the tires). Happy with mine, had it 9 years now.

Next time I need advice about insurance, I'll dial you up. Got any other sound life advice you need to dish out? I don't generally take advice from partially literate internet people (especially those with 420 in their usernames), but you seem confident that you're the single largest repository of knowledge in the known universe, so let's get some more.

Had multiple deer strikes with an ARB on my last tacoma. 1st Gen. Head on and corner strikes with zero damage to the truck or bumper. One strike on my current aluminum CBI. 3rd gen. Also zero damage. I was doing between 40 and 60 in all instances.

Awesome, sounds like you guys all stand behind the ARB. I like the look of it too.

    Working on them
They do work Only if located in the proper position and that is not on the front bumper in front of the Grill, The Best locations are where the moving air can pass thru them like on bottom of side mirrors (that does look dorky tho)

I reside in Maine, and have never trusted these to work. When hunting and a deer runs, I let out a quick loud whistle and they come to a dead stop to look at me. It's how I've gotten my last couple deer. I'd be more worried of having these. Just have them move the deer crossing signs, so they cross elsewhere. ;)

I pay 58 a month. This is what we call a cost benefit analysis. Each person has unique needs and wants. There is no such thing as "correct" when the topic is subjective.

Ive heard that you have to install both of these as one is a dummy for looks. Only 1 does any hifreq whistling. Or just mount the 1 with the whistle. Ive never bothered to see if there is a difference in the 2
