For real, get a minivan. Sienna or Odyssey.... both have plusses and minuses compared to each other but the value of the space in either cannot be overstated. SUVs are a joke by comparison when it comes to space for people and/or stuff.

Get an older minivan and keep your truck. Siennas are a bit more bulletproof, Odysseys drive a bit better, but both are good picks if well maintained.

It was a 99 LS with the limited slip rear axle. I put a premium canvas top on it. It was the most fun vehicle I have ever owned.

Thank you. A man from Japan bought it. He is here working at Kobe Aluminum. It handled like a dream. The clutch, transmission, shifter, and engine were all just perfectly matched.

    Zoom, Zoom.

The cheapest route is have your wife learn to drive a manual. Starting a family is expensive and pretty soon you will be using the truck for baby related purchases. It gets worse as they grow older and need bigger toys and furniture. My Tacoma was used alot when my 14y and 10y boys were growing up and if you own a home, the usage will double. Personally, keep the truck unless you can sell and pay cash for another.
Please don't use the SC truck with a car seat. Not a safe option.

^ I wish I could get my wife to drive my truck. I'd ditch her car ('05 Impreza) in a heartbeat and cancel the insurance. She's a stay at home mom now and hardly drives the thing. I have a company vehicle that I get personal use of so my Tacoma also sits unused 99% of the time. It sucks. I'd love to save on the insurance and get the Tacoma used more.

Lots of different stories going on here. Sounds like you are attached to this vehicle--I would make an attempt to keep it.

I had a 2003 Honda Pilot up until 2018 when a lady decided to ride the suicide lane instead of waiting in traffic and hit me as I was pulling out of a bank driveway to make a left turn.

Our daughters are both married now and have their own vehicles...that's when I decided it was time for me to have a vehicle of my choice! Hurray for me!

Before the Pilot, we had a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo (5-speed) and then a 1996 Honda Accord which were great vehicles for a family of 4. I did not regret selling the Rodeo or the Accord because each time, we progressed to a nicer vehicle.

Hopefully, you hold onto your truck. Sounds like you will miss it when it's gone.
