Ha! I just made chili a few days ago. I ate frito pie for lunch today

 

This is a new recipe for me, I’m on about my 4th iteration and it’s coming together nicely. Added some salt and pepper this go around and bumped up the chili and cumin content. Might need just a touch more cocoa. I tried Adobe peppers originally and it was just too much ‘chipotle’.

 

It looks amazing!

 

Better got beans in dair!

 

Hatch or green chilis. Those are my go to for extra zing in homemade chili.

 

I have a bean recipe too that started from a member here. Wife’s not a fan of bean chili, so ‘tis what it is.

 

Hmmmm, you have me thinking now. This one has 3 jalepenos in it. But hatch chili, I need to consider that.

 

PS, you gotta burn your wooden spoon every now and then to add a little flavor.

The youngest’s bf is vegetarian, so that’s another pot when they come over. Lots of bell peppers there. Wish my wife liked bell peppers…. I’d have some finely minced orange bell peppers if so.
