What’s the best way to get rid my OEM wheels and tires without selling them?

I’m getting to the point where it’s not worth the trouble selling them and I need the space.

I’ve had a few people from CL, but they were low ballers who got aggressive and because of this, I’m feeling like it’s time to just throw them away to avoid dealing with sketchy people coming to my home.

I have other parts too, but I’m thinking anything I can’t ship, I throw away.

@MonkeyChief, you might get some takers if you posted your location.

Thanks, but I’m just looking to dump them without anyone coming to my home, and I’m not going to load them up to get flaked on.

Too bad, there are folks here that would love free wheels for their vehicle.

If you aren't comfortable with posting your address to sell them or give them away you have eliminated most choices.
At this point you can either drop them off at some random tire shop who may be able to use them or take them to a scrap yard for a small amount of money or most likely just put them on the curb along with the trash and they will disappear.

Put them out any the end of your driveway with a free sign. They will be gone by end of day.

Agree, too bad. Op could drop them off at a curb somewhere and then Drive Away real fast and then post them on Craigslist with the location.

Where you at Waldo ? What size are they and what do they fit ? I'm old and harmless, I might take them if you're close...

    Hahaha...

In NY there is a $2.50 per tire disposal fee...

Got any used tire shops near you? They'd probably give you a few dollars for them. Load them up one morning and drive over there.

Thanks, that’s the plan I think. I’ll see if the shop I use wants ‘em.

I just took a set of Firestone Destination LE II's to a used tire shop, no rims just the tires. I ran them for 3 summers, I run dedicated snow tires in winter. I got $60 for them. I was okay with that, no fuss, just took them over and asked him to make an offer.

Assuming the tires are off the wheels. An aluminum recycler will pay about 50 cents a pound.
