What to do with the fender liner after a high-slope bumper

So I replaced my front bumper with an off-road type one that supports a steep approach angle. I have not cut the stock fender liner (I think that's what it's called), and just have it trucked up into the aftermarket bumper and zip tied.

What have other people done with this problem? Should I just leave it as-is? Or should I trim it up with a sawzall and get rid of some of the excess?

Not sure what I should do here. What I've done so far seems to be working, and it hasn't dropped down and grinded my tires (yet)

 

the 1st gen i recently sold had a shrockworks bumper on it, i just tucked the liners into the bumper and zip tied it up and never looked back

 

Cool, thanks for the vote of confidence. It seems to be holding up well so far, and everyone I've shown it doesn't even seem to notice. I'm keeping an eye on it but no mishaps or tearing or anything like that so far.

 

I trimmed mine up with some tin snips then punched holes in it and zip tied it to the support brackets. No issues.
