This aftermarket Litek taillight on my 99 Tacoma filled with water and shorted out. My truck was at a shop for something else and I asked them for advice on what to do with the light, they said the wiring harness needs to be replaced. But couldn't I just get a normal taillight that simply hooks into the yellow plug and remove the aftermarket wiring from the fuse box and go on my merry way? I just want some simple shit that works that I don't need to think about. Please advise
