Hello, new guy here from west Texas. Id like you to meet my Taco...
I've been lurking around for a while now drooling over some of these Tacos and I don't know where to start, wheels and tires, exhaust?
I need some advice. I'm only a senior in high school so I'm not rolling in cash here.

OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.
Go buy some 5100s and a set of 285s. I think exhaust doesn't sound so cool on a v6, that's just me.

You'll want the 265/75/16. Stock your truck came with 265/70/16 so the new tire would increase the sidewall slightly but keep the same width.

TRD CAI, MBRP dual exhaust, PIAA headlights and driving lights, 5% limo tint, 3 inch Skyjacker lift , AFE throttle body spacer, 285/70/17 BF Goodright AT TA KO, Grillcraft MX with PIAA's behind the grill, anytime fog light mod, reverse camera anytime mod, and PIAA fog lights on the rear bumper anytime mod light bar behind back window with truck lights for reverse assistance, Optima Red Top Battery, Onza 3x5" LEd reverse lights attached to light bar behind cab
Tint would be a cheap mod, i guess it depends on what you want to do with your truck. The mods are beyond endless.

It all depends on how much you want to do, how much you have to spend, how good you are with tools.

there are some threads on painting the stock rims, thats a good and cheap upgrade, i did it on mine - 10 bucks.
My first upgrades were a bull bar and nerf bars for protection, was only about 300 bucks. New tires 265/75R16 goodyear Duratracs, 700 bucks.
    take a look

CAI, dynomax turbo exhaust system, tinted windows medium on the fronts to match the backs, hid kit hi and low beam, pop and lock tailgate, painted calipers red with caliper paint, put 2.25' leveling kit in front and a 1" block in the rear. its now level and rides WAY better (readylift)>way nicer than the revtek my buddy has i think its garbage imo<, hurst "T" shifter, 18 x 10 american racing (can't remember the name) chrome rims with badass 5 inch lip :), 12 inch rockford fosgate punch with rockford fosgate 600 watt amp, bushwacker fender flares (cheaper than replacing the one i wrecked lol) ,kc light bar with kc lights, toyota aluminum stamped skid plate, and a skull front license plate. More mods to come, thinking a 6 inch lift and arb bumper etc etc.
hey how do you like those goodyear duratracs nice ride? quality? sound? off road capabilities (obviously not a bogger but i don't want boggers for my tacoma ... YET!)

you could paint your wheels black. For exhaust, you could get a muffler and have a shop weld it in since you do not have a lot of money to spend

"TSB" is what everyone calls the 'Harsh Ride' spring upgrade you can get, visit your dealer about and jump through a few hoops and get 4 leaf springs in the rear if you are within the 36k OG Warranty.Billys are billstein shocks.

As for the OP welcome and I would hold off on spending money just yet,use the truck for awhile and see what in using the truck you find could help you use it better. They are pretty capable trucks to start with with a few months you will see exactly what you want out of the truck and go from there.Best way not to throw your money at stuff you dont need just cuz it looks cool. There is so many ideas for upgrades on here with very little cash spent to do them. And alot of helpful vendors, you have come to the right place for ideas.

    Thanks.
Are Billstein shocks supposed to be more firm, for the purpose of hauling/towing?
