I know this has probably been on the forums 100 times but bare with me. I’m planning on running adjustable 5100’s instead of the stock crap. Does anyone know what i would need to set them at to match the height of the back of the truck? I was assuming as dead in the middle as possible considering it’s a 0-2” level/lift. I will be using the oem coils if that makes a difference

3rd clip out of the 5. I have mine set to the 4th and it’s a tad nose high

I’d suggest a OME coil set at “0”. Maybe a 885 or 886. I think 887 is an option too but better for plate bumper or armor. Contact headstrong offroad for better advise

If you decide to go with OME coils (I would), 885 coils will get you closest to being level with the back. After my front settling and a 1' block in the rear, my rear sits like 0.5" higher.

I’m looking to stay stock and avoid blocks and spacers at all cost. Don’t want to worsen the quality of the ride if that makes sense. Just simply looking to get leveled, i was hoping the 5100 in the front with one coils would fix the rake

Here’s everything else stock and third notch. Looks pretty dang level to me. Stock coils and totally stock rear end.

No problem. Just switched it last Thursday. Aligned fine and no vibrations. Did not do the ecgs bushing.

Would you say the ride quality is better, worse or same?

I typically set my customers rig at the 3rd clip if there nothing being added in the rear.

A little more firm but in a good way. Stock the brake dive is more than I liked. Still rides great, but more firm. Ride quality is a super subjective subject. I have an f350 that rides like a tank and have had many vehicles and the Tacoma feels good.

3rd setting yields 1.1” so that’ll level you out.

I’m running winch and slim bumper totaling 150lbs, I’ve put on 5100s with stock coils and an AAL in the back and have rather large rake with 1.5” more in the back. Really only want a slight 1/2”

Anyone know which OME springs to get and setup with 5100s and 150lbs on front to get 1” over stock height?

Looking at 886 which says 2” with bumper and winch. So, I’m thinking 888s which should give 1”

I’ve read 888’s will yield at 2” after settling or a little over. I think your best bet would be 887. What setting do you have the front shocks at? I have the same setup but with a 1” block in the rear.

It says 888s medium 2” but with either bumper or winch not both so maybe 80lbs. I’ve got the 5100s at 1.1” on stock springs, but it settled back to stock height. And I have a single AAL in the rear.

It’s a tough call, don’t want to do this over and over again. I’ve already put them in twice myself on the stock springs.

Damn, how long have you had the set up in the front like that? I’ve ran them for about 15k miles and I’ve driven on some moderate trails so I may be wearing them faster than normal now. Hoping they don’t wear down to stock height yet before I decide to dump more money into it. You could always keep an eye out on here or Craigslist. I see the 888’s go cheap enough to mess around with, but I can understand the frustration in taking it apart ever so often.
