All of the ones on Amazon get such mixed reviews does anyone here have any experience with any of them? Looking to purchase one.

The Bak Revolver X4s has been solid for me. I had a soft trifold for a while, but got tired of having to take it off when I wanted to haul larger items. It's a little pricey, but I've had it on the truck for about a year now and it looks great still. My only issue is it working with my rack system. They do make a model that has T-track on the rails, I couldn't find that one when I was buying so I ended up just removing the rack for now.

I'm a fan of the OEM cover. Whatever you do, check locally for a good condition used one. Let some other putz take the retail loss.

    PS: welcome aboard shipmate!

Lots of choices. I have had a Bakflip on two trucks. I have been very happy with both. The flip opens all the way easily and even can be completely removed in about 1 minute by unscrewing two knobs under the flip at the front.

My bakflip G2 started to fall apart after 5 or 6 years. I'm not sure what the average lifespan is for one if these however for the price I would hope they would last longer. I was pleased up until the latching mechanism on rear, tailgate, panel fell off and then the panel itself started to separate from the middle panel. Currency it's patched together with door hinges. I'm considering purchasing a diamondback switchback but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Wow..My first one was still in perfect shape after 8 yrs when I traded the truck in and it was always parked outside not far from the Pacific Ocean salt air and California sun.

I'm in the blue ridge mountains. I use my stuff but take care of it because stuff is expensive. I was in shock when I lowered my tailgate and saw the carnage. Up until that point I was very pleased with my G2.

i went with the $120 ebay no-name roll-up cover. it works great. needed some extra tweaking to align, but i saved enough that it's literally a sacrificial cover.

    Wouldn't work where I live.
    Too much snow and cold.
Typical thread starter so it's hard to help
Not much info on where it lives, weather, preference for hard, soft, fold, one piece, etc, etc
Also literally hundreds of opinions on dozens of threads.
    Ok I'll say it

Had one on a 2006 for seven years and my current 2017 Tacoma since new. Very durable bed cover. Fits tight and doesn't impact Toyota bed tie-down system.

Going over 5 years on a Lowmax Trifold. It’s been solid 2 hail storms and a tree fell on it and it’s still going strong. Live is a Midwest state lot of snow ice etc Goes on and off in a couple of minutes. But if you have 2 grand get a Diamond Back.

Lomax stance or any of the Rough Country variants. I have the Bakflip X4s, on my second one. It's not worth the price and falls apart easily.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
It depends on what type you want. Hard or soft? Roll-up, tri-fold, or one-piece (I dislike those anyways). What is your budget?

I have a Diamondback HD cover on my truck for 2.5 years. Still looks great and very secure. Can haul objects on top too. Some water leaks through the center panel, but it's not much. I am thinking about switching for the Diamondback Switchback for that lil bit of bed access with the cover flipped up, but the HD is a great cover. Get ready to pay a good amount of cash though.
