    I still own most of the first socket set that I purchased from JC Penny, if I remember correctly. That was 40 years ago, and their still going strong, with the original 3/8 inch ratchet driver. I have some craftsman tools also purchased years ago, that are decent also, but there new stuff, I don't buy. When I needed a set of impact sockets, I went to harbor freight, and now buy most of my tools there. If it breaks, I can take it back and get another one. But OP, read this like many others have posted. 6 POINT SOCKETS are the best, and will save you many a headache vs 12 point.

    I use all 12 point sockets except for impacts; those are six point.
