I want to put a tool kit together to keep in my truck for "just in case". What are some tools you have in your truck all the time? What do you keep them in? Storage space in tight in the taco! I am starting to attach things in the molle rack in the bed also. TIA

I have two Dewalt Tsac toolboxes in the back of my AC, + a Bedrug mat on top to even out the floor. I have emergency supplies and first aid kit in one box. Air compressor and blanket in the other toolbox. The trunk organizer has been moved to the bed, it has car wash supplies and misc items I throw in there like grocery bags and wet wipes. Small tool assortment in the center console organizer includes multi-tool, screwdrivers, plastic panel pulling tools.

I have a custom aluminum gear box for my 1st gen. It has a tray that slides left/right. Plenty of room for what's needed.
The plan is to remove the back seat assembly and bolt it through the floor. Eventually.

Husband is in charge of that when we go out west wheeling. I think he brings one of everything too. Which was/is a good thing.

I've driven from Akron ohio in mynoffroad rig, all the way to Moab Utah. Had to drop the front diff half way through a week of wheeling and fix a leaking seal. I'm glad I had them with me! So did some other people with trail damage.

To choose just a few tools would be hard for me. I'd want various sockets and wrenches. Hammer, vice grips, jack, zip ties, wire, coat hanger, stuff to stop leaks, extra hardware, it's an endless list.

Yup, it's always great to have stiff expendable wire. Can use it to hang the muffler or other exhaust parts. Ice used it for numerous things. And you can break into your truck, if its older , with a coat hanger.

As I do my research I see people take VEDC pretty seriously. I need to come up with something to hold all of it. I have a Rigid box for my recovery gear. I managed to stuff jumper cables into it until I get some slick electronic jumper unit.
