$35k Out The Door (after taxes) in CA at Folsom Lake Toyota for my 2019 SR5 in 2019. I planned to swap out suspension and gears and did so at 5k miles to 5.29's and lockers front and rear so in the end this worked out better for me.

I test drove the 4 banger in sr trim...even with the manual tranny i couldn't figure what toyota was thinking putting this motor in a gen3 taco. I could just guess what an automatic would be like if the dealer had one to try.

    Working on it ...
Out of my four Toyotas my 2000 was the only four-cylinder. But it was paired with a five speed manual transmission. I drove my sister-in-law‘s automatic and it was a night and day difference. The four-cylinder automatic worked well for her but I am not so sure I would’ve been able to manage with that combination. With the manual transmission I barely Could tell the difference between it my V6 manuals on towing and hauling.

Oh and by the way, my gas mileage was by the slimmest of margins slightly better on the four-cylinder than on my V6s. Thought that was interesting oh and by the way, my gas mileage was by the slimmest of margins slightly better on the four-cylinder then on my V sixes averaging about 19 to 19.5 mpg compared to 18 to 18.5. Thought that was interesting...

Nicotine patches and gum is the way to go for me! I just followed the instructions on the box. Definitely takes the edge off and makes it more manageable. Well I have never made it this long so so far it has worked well. Now the incentive to buy a new truck when I cross the year mark will make it easier! Good luck

I ran it through Costco and I can buy the SR5 double cab V6 4x4 with the 4 seasons package and that’s the only option I added for 28,000. The TRD sport/Off-road came in at 33,000. I will test drive all of them but I doubt there will be something that makes me want to spend 5,000 extra... at the end of the day I will leave the dealership with a smile. I’m driving a 2016 Honda Accord it’s not the best for deer hunting... but I have made it work lol

My dad ran it and that’s what he came up with that’s within no options other than 4x4 and the 4 seasons package. My wife is not going to let me pull the trigger right now lol unfortunately
