Mudguards, 3D tailgate lettering, step bumpers, MESO LED tail lights, front facing camera. Coming soon: LED headlights and SuperCharger.
    Doublecab was 6800 more?

My 2020 TRD Sport 4x4 was 38k OTD. That's double cab.

If you're in California, that explain it.

Drove all trims. Could not tell a difference or justify any other trim than the SR. Had absolutely everything I needed and not know thing I did not. And to boot my wife let me bring one home for good. I am the proud new owner of a 2020 SR V6 4x4 v6. The TrD off-road was a total of 7700 more than this truck. Crazy.

I would go off road . Better to have then not to have it then want it . And asking your self everyday why didn’t I buy the higher tier truck . If you can afford it why the hell not . To me personally buying base anything sucks it makes u desire more .

    Nice!

I was going to say get the cheaper one. Now stay off the chew. It can be done, I'm going on 30+ years. (stupidest thing I've ever done is getting myself addicted to nicotine)

A 2020 TRDOR DCSB V6 4X4 MSRP is $4650 more than the SR. Still quite a bit of green, but not $7700.

I'd say the same except imo the sr5 exterior appeared a bit more refined looking. Its got more electronics than i will ever use. Believe me i took a good long look at an sr after owning sr5's since the 80's, but the exterior just didn't quite cut it.

I agree however they were not moving away from MSRP at all on the TRD and the SR I picked up for 30,500 which was 4000 less than it’s MSRP.

SR = I walked in wanting an OR or Pro but only had lint in my pockets. I'm married to Shannon who is a dietary aid and a dog groomer. I have a nautical star tattoo or two

SR5 = I'm 55 I yell at kids and i'm married to Karen who is a president of an HOA

Off Road = The cool guys

Sport = I eat six chicken breasts a day and lift for six hours a day, but i'm not making any gainz. Typically can be found working at Best Buy, cellphone or nutrition shop

Pro = The cross fitters of the Tacoma world. How do you know they have a Pro, they tell you about it. Additional talking if it's Voodoo Blue or Army Green. They typically can be found pounding 2x4s and women named Darcy and Abby

Thats about what many dealers here discounted them plus figuring in the cash incentive of taco's sitting in their lots. I was able to get $2500 off msrp when ordering my sr5 access cab plus another $1500 from toyota.

I think being your wife has already said you can get you a Tacoma so make it count and get the Trd Off Road you wont regret it. Its has all kind of gadgets and gizmos. And good for you by giving up the chewing Tabbaco.

Thought your sr5 take is more for the limited trim crowd.

The Limited is geared towards the Bonnie and Karen market hence the rich brown seats and chrome. They're likely to be found at gardening center or Hallmark greeting cards shop

As a Limited owner, I am triggered by this post. I may cause a public freakout at a Whole Foods and have to work out the stress on my Peloton.

This is what I did. I did the sensible adult thing for the first time in my life. In 2011 I bought a brand new Mercedes E Class. That was not sensible lol.

So this time I bought a bright red SR V6 4X4. It has just enough tech stuff on it to be fun, Android Auto, Power Windows, Keyless Entry, Satellite Radio.

With the money I have saved, I already have a new set of Wrangler Duratrac tires in 265/75/16, getting new Bilstein 5100 Shocks all around and OME front springs to handle the new Warn Winch and Hidden Winch Bumper mount that is in the mail.

In the fall I am going to add a ARB Air Locker to the rear and eventually a ARB Locker will go on the front as well.

You get a lot of truck in the SR and SR5 models for the price.

If SR was offered with DC v6 and MT, i would have bought one for sure. My only choices were sport and pro. Pro would have been my dream truck, but 60k? GTFO

This is exactly right. I was at the dealer I originally had a 2016 SR5 that I made a tentative deal on and drove it around for a few days. It had running boards and some tech on it but it was 4 years old, had 60K on the clock and it was a 4x2. I really wanted a 4x4.

So I took it back and they wrote up a 2020 TRD Pro 4X4 with all the bells and whistles. With TTL, financing and all the fees it was pushing 60K and the monthly was more than my Merc E Class was. I was SOoooo close. But I just couldn't do it. Not in the current state were in.

So they went the other extreme and brought up the Little Red Taco. It was a V6, it was 4 wheel drive and to be honest it looked like it wasn't trying to be all flashy, with chrome and scoops.

So I saved 30 grand got a good intrest rate and I have a blank canvas to work on.

I went the same route. Locker is about the only trd upgrade I want, and I'll get an ARB

Already scored new wheels and tires.
Pre pandemic my SR dcsb was 28350.
Had intermittent wiper and tow hitch.
    Congrats on the new truck
