What type of driver are you?

3 and 9, usually.

 

On my way to work, 4 miles oneway...10 & 2.

Drive up north to Christiana Mall on Hwy 1, (45 miles/oneway) it varies--mostly left hand stays on steering wheel, right resting on the gear selector:



My right hand will give the left hand a break every so often.

Geeze, what am I talking about? lol

Oh yeah, where I place my hand on the steering wheel.

Usually left hand at 8:00. Right elbow resting on the centre console. Sometimes right hand at 4:00 if things are getting sporty.

Also, all you guys resting your hands on your shifters might want to reconsider. I've heard over time that can cause damage to the transmission.

 

Come to think of it, I rest my elbow on the center console more than the shifter!

I occasionally put my hand on the shifter because I like touching it! lol

 

Could be the cause of complaints for the 3g auto.

 

I don't "drive"my trucks. We manage geolocation as a team.

 

That particular concern only applies to manual transmissions.
You try way too hard...

 

I don't think manual transmission drivers have yet been represented in this thread.

You ought to try using both hands on the wheel since you have a habit of drifting lanes.

Left hand near 12. Right on the schtick or center console arm rest. Wife gets so angry when I push her arm off. "Honey I need it for shifting"

 

That's what you get when you bring a "GMG" to Toyota country...

 

I dont pay much attention how my chauffer drives

 

My drving record is clean.

I do have a complaint over steering wheel mounted cruise control buttons that can inadvertently be activated when driving.
