The manual for my 99 Tacoma 4WD 2.7L 4 cylinder 3RZ-FE says to use 08826-00080 for the oil pan sealant from Toyota. What is the Permatex equivalent? Permatex has different types of sealant and not sure which one to use.

Agreed. The black stuff is the strongest. I've used it to repair many different things besides using it as a sealer. I'd go with the black.....you'll never go back:eek:

I personally wouldn't use any other sealant than the Toyota FIPG (black) sealant, at least for oil pans. Used it hundreds of times on reseals and never had a come back. One thing though, be sure to thorough clean both surfaces very well. Razor blade the block and soft wire brush the pan and degrease both surfaces.
