I want to get away from stock wheels and found a set of Moto metal 970 with -24 offset 18x10's

If those wheels don't give me the stance I want , I'd look into wheel spacers.

I've read there are hub and lug centric spacers. Can someone explain the difference and how I should match to make sure they are compatible with the wheels.
And just to make sure this is our lug pattern 6-139.7 or 6x5.5
