I have a 2010 with a Pro-Comp 6" that I want to turn into a more offroad worthy truck. already have plans for coilovers and will soon be getting advise for the rear, but this thread is all about the UCAs up front. I've seen so many brands with their own arms and they all say they're the best. What's the general consensus with y'all? Which company deserves their shite on your truck?

Main reason I want to go with aftermarket UCA's is that I'm pretty much going to be upgrading the rest of the front suspension so it seems to reason to do a complete job. Mainly I'll be running this truck as a daily and on OHV trails weekly. The truck is the project so doing maintenance often doesn't bother me one bit, weekly is a bit of a stretch though. Don't mind squeaks (It's a 10 year old truck.) One thing I do have a bad habit with is going a bit too fast down the dirt road leading up to the trail...

JBA upper control arms would do you well. 3 greasable zerks with poly bushings per arm. Uses a chevy 1500 balljoint available from napa bolt in. I could do one side in 10 mins on a lift, provides 2+ caster and better travel up and down. Worthy every penny I love mine.

Years ago I purchased Camburg ball joint type upper A arms. These were the earlier Camburg arms that used oem Toyota ball joints. I noticed recently Camburg now uses an aftermarket ball joint.

No regrets with what I installed. Those JBA setups do seem nice. I have no details of where they are made, but the JBA or newer Camburgs would be my first choices in a ball joint upper aftermarket A arm.

Does JBA provide the same level of adjustability as say SPC?

I’m in the market for some myself and my mechanic actually recommended pro comp- apparently the designer of these was a former TRD developer and they are supposed to be good as well- but those are Uniball.

Jba is non adjustable. If you want adjustable spc is your bet.

I have Total Chaos on mine. They've only been on since September so I don't have a lot of life on them yet. No issues thus far.

So what would be the benefits of some Total Chaos Arms or SPC since we already got JBAs up?

This is it! but its the most important perk when choosing ucas imo

Great exchange program for older spc ucas & customer service seems to be great! I'm biased though being from Colorado.

My JBA’s have a lot of adjustment for caster. It’s a standard GM ball joint. Was able to get 3.5* of caster with 0 camber and 0 toe. Pretty adjustable if you ask me.

the guy i quoted was referring to the actually balljoint placements not how much you can move the cams after install. Spc have a balljoint nut on top you can loosen and move in a channel on the UCAS frame. I got 3.6 out of mine, if i free up my cams i can probably get 4 degrees. My buddy runs 4.8 on his spcs with his 4runner on 35’s
