To all that have chosen your respective brands, what about that UCA made you decide on them? Its great to hear that there's no complaints, but what specifically made you make your decision?

    The Desert Products design?

Yes, they're pure beef. Replaced TC for uniball Dirt Kings. Zero issues and alignments are perfect.

ICON Billet UCAs with uniballs and rod ends. Super adjustable and they look nice but are expensive.

I've been happy with these guys. They're nice and beefy and I like to support smaller companies. Plus, Matt @M C M was great and very familiar with my suspension setup.

Great customer service, easily maintainable (grease and balljoints) they match my red theme, no extra adjustments, extra front end droop. And it came with a dvd about Jesus if anyones about that, lol

    Wait, what?

Excellent, same here! We might be the only two left. Lol. They've been on my 2010 since circa 2013 and 70k miles later, the only serious maintenance I've had to do is replace the polyurethane bushings. Never any issues otherwise.

Jba is made in PA. I looked at camburgs but ultimately went with jba because of the bolt in ball joint. I’ve had them for a few years with zero issues.

hahah that’s awesome! I installed mine around same time as my initial lift, so late 2011 iirc. This is the first time I changed out the bushings and I’ve gone 100k. Minimal squeaking. They’ve really been a solid UCA.
I actually can’t believe more people don’t discuss the newer version from DSM more often. I feel like they’re a bit over looked in this category.

I think the lack of complaints across the board goes to show you that this item is one of those parts that just about anyone can design and manufacture without significant downsides. Just choose a uniball or bushing based on your preference and from there you can’t go wrong with what you choose.

Agreed, but the new DSM UCAs are also a bit more expensive. For what it's worth, I've been extremely happy with my Dirt Kings as well. Kind of the nice thing about having two Tacomas.

I went SPC. My previous UCA bushings popped out while on the truck and these don’t have any bushings so I won’t have to deal with that. Super strong one piece design as well. Can’t go wrong with these

I went with SPC's on mine for the adjustability built in to allow me to tailor the specs to fit tires as needed. Also the ease of replacing the balljoint is a nice perk as well.

I just bought a pair of like new Freedom Offroad's for $185 off eBay. The dude I bought them from ended up living 6 houses down from where I grew up...weird. Glad to hear you're happy with 'em so far. I'm putting 2 inch coils and 5100's on next week. Were you able to get your alignment within specs without any problem?
