It went through the ringer. I totally swapped out the subframe from the sicirocco 2, dropped a 2L 16v in it, 11" brakes, GroundControls, and then I autoX'd it till it was a pile of scrap. When it was it's time to go, there wasnt much saving it.

very cool. When I was younger our group all had different hot rodded VW’s. I had a 1990 Jetta GTX 16v, friends had scirocco 16v, GTI 16v, Jetta VR6, Corrado G60, etc etc. Super fun cars to modify and rip around in.

Traded in a Tesla for the Taco. Extremely fun car and a blast to drive, but did not feel like the manufacturing or parts quality was there for long term ownership. Had an FJ before the Tesla, so back to Toyota it was.

My most recent vehicle, that I sold in order to get my Tacoma was a 2014 VW Passat TDI.

I took advantage of the "dieselgate" class action lawsuit against VW whereby they would buy back any od the TDI models that were part of the suit for a very nice dollar value (High Blue Book + an $8,000 "Ooops, we're sorry to have caused you inconvenience" bonus payment). It was only 3 years old when I sold it back, used that $25,000 as a nice down payment on my Tacoma.

Came from a 2007 ranger, what a huge improvement. This taco is my third truck though. I had 1990 b2200 as my first truck and vehicle.

    Love this taco more everyday!
