What was a normal price to pay for a used 3rd gen prior to covid?

    yeah I think he could tell I didn’t know what to expect. never bought from a dealership in my life and didn’t know what they had so didn’t even Google MSRP before I went.

    You might try a car buying service like through Costco or maybe your local bank offers it. Basically, it's pre-negotiated pricing on new vehicles and both parties get a commission for "helping" you find/buy your new car. Pre-pandemic the pricing was invoice or a little above. It's probably msrp or msrp plus a set fee now.

    Pre or post pandemic with some cars are better deal new than used. Why buy used for only 10% less with 30k miles+ on the clock?

    My guess is some people feel they are 'being frugal' buying used and feel guilty buying new.

    Other makes and models, the right used car is a no-brainer.
