What was you first car???

my my taco is my first all-new to me, officially dealer sold automobile!
the toyota van was a freebie, and i owned a used POS cherokee before this.

 

1964 Ford T-Bird courtsey of my father...he loved his cars....camaros, chevelles, snub nose firebird convertible in canary yellow that was my fav! The T-Bird didn't run that good, I think that is why he gave it to me...

1948 2-Door Mercury Coupe. First thing I did was put spun aluminum wheel covers on it, then dual exhausts, and finally lowered it about 6" all around! ..Definitely a cool ride in the mid 50's!!

 

it was. unfortunately i was 17 and didn't know jack about cars.
had a bad radiator, which i paid to have fixed but still leaked and eventually blew the engine.
it even had a A/C operated mini COOLER in the lower console by the automatic shifter.
you had to unlatch the driver's seat and flip it back to get to the engine- which i had to do to put water or coolant in it almost every trip.
VERY roomy rear, with seats into bed action.

 

'72 Chevy Vega. Burned a quart of oil per tank of gas.

 

1983 Mustang GT with T-tops.Of course they leaked but were great in the summer.Had it for a year then got my 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 notchback brand new which I still own,tons of mods.Right now it's in my garage apart getting ready for paint.

a 90 ford probe... heh what can I say, it was a handmedown

 

69 mach 1 mustang,through the right foot down so much i couldn't keep rear tires on the dam thing.go figure!

 

Hopefully getting it painted this fall,will post pics then. All my old pics are not digital and I don't have a scanner.

 

'85 Honda Civic hatchback, which ended up being more of a pinball then a car. I still see it driving around every so often.

heh. well. too bad i never got to use it while i had it. but i liked to brag about the option to all my friends that drove tiny cars then

 

At least the option was there.

 

Black 1988 Ford Escort GT...great car until I hit a median sliding on all the gravel they used to use here in Colorado.
