1991 Ford Ranger. Truck ran good till some 16 year old girl ran into it and insurance totaled it out. I don't miss it at all.

My first dozen or so cars were 'field cars'. Of those, this was my first...well, its a pic of the year make and model at least:

My first 'real' car, that was on-road only and 100% street-legal:

Bought it from my dad for $400 with 125,000 on it. Then, a year later, he sold me his 1980 Corolla-Tercel for $600 (those were both the same thing back then) and the '78 became the 'parts car'.

On another board, we had a thread for "ALL the cars you've owned". Got-damn am I glad you didn't do that, my list made me feel WAYYYY too old.

1967 Firebird 400. 4-speed. Cool right? Well, it was a large pile of motorized rust. When I got it, it had virtually no rear frame rails, no trunk, etc. I managed to get it drivable, but it was a rag.

Took my drivers test in that beast! I think it was about 140' long and six or seven cows had to die to supply the leather for the interior. I'll tell ya what...I think the inside of that thing was bigger than my first apartment!

I didn't own it, but it was the first car I treated like my own, maintained, etc etc. my parents lent it to me after I got my license so I could get to work, school, yada yada. Anyway hands down my least favorite vehicle ever. So many electrical problems, crap for power, uncomfortable, and stupid suspension. Only thing going for it was it is hella roomy up front.

Then I had the means to pay for a Tacoma, so I jumped on that. So depressing whenever I have to drive that silly little beetle... I can just feel it sapping my manhood away...

My second car (the first I bought) was a 1967 Firebird with a 326 and an automatic. Similarly to yours, mine was a piece. We used to call it "The Sky Writer" because you could tell where I'd been by the trail of blue smoke that I left behind. The rear shock towers rusted so badly that both shocks came through my trunk lid!

Interestingly..... a 1995 Toyota Tacoma SX, single cab with split bucket seats. Drove that thing to 227k then traded it in. Best damn vehicle I ever owned. Only had to normal wear and tear. Only changed 2 batteries and one starter solenoid the entire time I owned it.

I bought a 1978 Trans Am for $650.00 back in '93. Lady wanted $1500, but my uncle talked her down. Black w/ black interior, 400 Auto. It was in good shape, just needed paint, front seats recovered, and headliner. Drove it for years, currently restoring it in my garage.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
I had two old cars about the same time (1956 Chev & 1951 Chry Imp. Limo.)... one worked and one didn't ... and I had just turned 16 y/o.

The one that drove was a 1951 Chrysler Crown Imperial Limo. I bought the car from a neighbor who had a funeral home and this car had a cracked grill & dull black paint ... bought it for maybe $300.00. Painted it black and drove it maybe 10,000 miles before selling it for $500.00. It had the usual front seats and rear seats ... and ... a 3rd row of seats that pulled out of the back of the front seats ... you could triple date in it with lots of room to spare.

Tonight, I looked it up on the internet for the first time 10 minutes ago .. and they are going for $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 in good shape and close in $10,000.00 in bad shape.

But I drove a 2006 Hyundai Tucson for 30,000ish miles before that just like this,
drove it like a Jeep and had it stuck maybe 20-30 times? Then the transmission blew up on the way to the dealer... No longer in the family! :D (not buying a Hyundai ever again...)
