My truck was white, "fixed" the bodywork and had it painted red (wasn't my choice, father paid for an Earl Scheib paintjob). I did learn a lot working on that thing.

My great grandmother gave me her 1966 Ford Galaxie 500XL with a 352W in 1984. I sold it in 1988. Typical "I wish I still had that car" story.

Feb. of 2009, 17 year old me, rocking the Jean Jacket... 1982 Ford Bronco, with bald mix-matched 35's (swapped for 33" BFG AT's) 302, rust, bondo, 4 different paint colors with Walmart special Black rattle can paint as the top coat, leaked every fluid, completely new suspension and brakes by the end of Senior year... but never any body work/fixing leaks, just had a box of cheap oil and cardboard on the ground... fun times.

Haha this is awesome. Two of my buddies had similar Volvos when I was in high school. One was a wagon in a horrible shade of brown, and the other was a sedan he painted racing stripes on. Slower than molasses and built like a brick shithouse, actually the perfect first car. At one point, my sister rear ended my buddy in her 91' Subaru. Not a scratch on the Volvo, the Subaru was totaled. I have a lot of good/funny memories of those cars.

Purchased it when I was 14, cost was $1200, no engine or trans.
Put a 327 and 4 spd Saginaw trans in it at 15, drove it till I was 17...
Bought a mini truck S-10 to drive and worked on the Camaro as a project till I was 21/22
Tubbed it, re-badged it as a z/28 SS/RS (added the stripes, hidden headlights and cowl hood at that point) shoehorned in a 427 L88 motor my motocross mechanic sold me after he wrecked his 67 Corvette, backed that with a Rock Crusher 4 speed Muncie and a narrowed Posi GM 12 bolt.
Sold it when I was 22 for $24,500 Since then I think it has passed through a few hands... I cry a little every time I think about selling that car.:frusty: :notsure: you live and learn...

This isn't the car (at least I don't think it is) but it looks identical, right down to the wheels.
