What was your first firearm?

Remington 1100 - 12 gauge for me.

 

Henry 22. Still have it.

 

No photo of it, but my dad bought a .22lr Chipmunk single shot for me when I was 6, and I learned to shoot pistols on a little Ruger .22lr semi auto. My current collection includes .22lr, .223/5.56, .308, 7.62x54r, .30-06, and a few 12ga pumpguns.

 

My first gun was an AK. Still have it.

 

Just purchased a nuclear warhead.

first was a High Standard 1911 full size. a big, heavy, clunky, kinda nasty 1911. very appropriate.

now I'm on to much nicer and less nasty clunky 1911's. but always 1911's.

 

16 gauge Sears Roebuck bolt action shotgun I got when I was 16 from my grandpa. Still have it and the most valuable gun in my collection.

 

Browning 9mm Hipower made in Belgium. Can’t believe I got rid of it.

 

A recycled Vietnam retreaded Army issued M-16 with a three prong flash adaptor. This was during basic training at Ft. Ord, California in 1972.

 

Glock 26. 9mm, 'baby glock'.

 

Soviet Makarov in 9x18mm. Fun little pistol, ammo was kind of hard to come by though. This was in 1994.

 

Ever since moving to the States from Australia I have wanted to own firearms, and I have a nice collection now. My first one was a Walther PPK/S .22 that is black. I have always wanted it because I'm a huge James Bond fan. At the time I was rather ignorant when it came to bullets and didn't understand how small a .22 really was.

Now I have a .40 S&W Walther P99AS and a 9mm Walther P99C AS. Yes, I got these because of 007 as well. I also have an AR-15 and a Remington 870 Tactical.

I would like to have a 9mm Walther PPK one day.

 

My first gun was a smith and Wesson 22A-1. My uncle bought it for me and installed a red dot sight on it when I started doing competitive shooting in 4-H. That pistol took me far in the sport and helped me win the state youth pistol comp in 2000, and 2nd in 2001. It got me started on what is now a major obsession.

 

Ithaca Super Single M-66 Single shot 12 gauge 3 inch 28 inch modified lever break action. Picked because 1) I could afford it. 2) I could hunt deer and small game with it. Still have it.

 

Smith and Wesson M&P 9c

 

Don't have it anymore but wish I did.

 

Remington nylon 11 bolt action .22. Uncle gave it to me when I was 9. He and my dad went in together and bought it when they were about that age. Second was a New England arms single shot 20 ga. Still have both.

 

Remington 870 Express Synthetic. Enjoyed dove hunting a few year but haven't really gone out the last few years. I jumped into mountain biking and then into bass fishing. But the shotgun still serves a great purpose locked away. Looking into picking up a Glock 19 next.

 

my grandpa gave me his savage 308 lever action when I was 13, felt like john wayne with that rifle, bagged a lot of game with that piece.
