My first pistol was a Ruger Security Six 357 magnum. Carried it backpacking when I was young. Fun gun to shoot, wish I still had it.

First was a Jericho compact, all steel. Absolutely heavy beast. Sold it less than a year later so I had some money to go to Nawlins:D

i grew up shooting occasionally with my dad. Smith & Wesson model 66 6" barrel with pachmayr grips. and Ruger .22

He ended up selling the guns to his friend, a retired cop.

I was always semi-interested to be a new gun owner, but my wife was kind of anti-gun.

she surprised me the other day, saying she was thinking about if we should have a home defense gun...

In all my life I've never been in a home situation where I needed a gun, but I couldn't imagine not having one or 50 in my house.

Even my folks always had a couple guns in the house when I was growing up.

Go out and get a home gun before she changes her mind!

My brother has a SAR 9 and I love the grip on it. It's a pretty sweet gun.

My first pistol was a lightly used Beretta 92FS. I still enjoy shooting it, never had any issues with it. It is easy to hit and shoot, operate safely, clean and is stone reliable. It is a little large for concealed carry, but makes a great house gun with a large magazine capacity - they were the original “wonder 9” pistol choice.

That was my first handgun too. Wish I still had that gun. I’ve been a Ruger revolver fan ever since.

It is by far my favorite handgun. It is a solid shooter. Incredibly accurate. My kids have all asked for the honor of inheriting it when I’m gone. With the laws here in Washington State I will probably place my collection in a trust so they can all enjoy them. Hopefully they are cared for with the same level of respect as I have shown.

My dad gave me a Star 9mm at 16 and gave it back to him when I turned 21.

    Pretty good shooter. IMG_7785.jpg

My first gun purchase at 21 was an Sig P266. Fine weapon. The Navy showed me the way.
