This is really really bad advise. Sorry I don't mean to disrespect you, but everything said here is false with the exception that a shotgun (not shot gun) is a good home defense firearm.

Wow. Just wow. Anyways my first firearm was a G17 that just happens to share my birthday. The test fire date is coincidentally 8/23. Although I don't shoot it much I will never get rid of it for those two reasons.

A H&R model 929 DA .22 revolver. My parents bought it for me at the age of 16 so I could take it with me deer hunting. I remember that thing being not very accurate. I no longer have it.

    Looked like this:

My first pistol was an IWI Baby Eagle compact polymer in 9mm.
It was a shitty gun with a lot of trigger slap, but fit my hand like a glove.

Second pistol was a Walther P22 which I like and still own.

The third pistol was an HK USP Compact. It had the worst trigger I've ever come across and has prevented me from buying another HK since.

Not my first handgun, but the 1st that I legally bought with a cwp.
    Ruger p-89 9mm.

What a feeling it was to just walk in a store, and walk out with a pistol in my hands.

Glock 22 Gen 3 was my first pistol. Still have it/carry it when it's cold out and can conceal under a coat. Newest purchase is a Sig Ultra Compact 1911. Just got my IWB holster for it last week and already love wearing it. Can't even see it when I'm wearing just a t-shirt

Bed rug, ARE bed top, Weathertechs. Little goodies here and there!
My first one was a S&W 38special police edition that my dad gave me that was handed from his dad. Think it's a early 1900's gun. Shoots very straight.
That put the bug in me. Then bought a Ruger SR9. I now usee that gun for USPSA and IDPA matches. Very happy with it and the reliability anD fit.

Remington 1911 R1. That thing was a piece of junk. I sold it and got a Springfield Loaded instead.

Remington really disappointed with that one. I love my 870 and 1100 shotguns, but that 1911 was an abomination of the platform.

30 years ago my first pistol was a Raven .25, I found out very quickly it was a POS the first time I shot it, needless to say, I got rid of it 30 years ago as well.
